INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE

 

ANNOUNCEMENT

At Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov, together with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the representative office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Uzbekistan, Harvard Medical College (USA), Altai State University (Russia), Quad University -I Azam (Pakistan), Bashkir State University (Russia), Institute of Biomedical Systems and Biotechnologies of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia) and the Institute of Cell Biology and Biotechnology of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov (Kazakhstan) in order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 9 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 4, 2023 No. PP-200 “On measures for the effective organization of public administration in the field of higher education, science and innovation within the framework of administrative reforms”, as well as on the basis of the Order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 18, 2024 No. 16, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Food Security: Global and National Problems” will be held. Global and national problems). The scientific and practical conference will be held on October 14-15, 2024 at the Institute of Biochemistry of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.

The scientific and practical conference will be held in the following sections (directions):

1. The role of biodiversity in food security

• Protection of wildlife and its rational use;

• Preservation of animal diversity and its rational use;

• Problems of anthropogenic transformation and protection of wildlife;

• Organization of specially protected areas for rare and unique animals;

• Protection of flora and its rational use;

• Effective and rational use of hayfields and pastures;

• Effective use of spicy, medicinal, food and technical plants in food production;

2. The role of biology in ensuring stable food security

• Physiological and agrotechnological bases of growing crops.

• Storage and processing of agricultural products;

• Innovative methods of growing crops;

• Fighting diseases and pests of agricultural crops;

• Improving the conditions for agribusiness and agrilogistics in agriculture;

3.Biotechnology and genetics of food security

• Biotechnology of storage and processing of agricultural products;

• Biotechnology for processing food waste and feed;

• Biotechnology for adding value to food products;

• Prospects for the use of cell and genetic engineering in the food industry;

• The role of modern genetics and selection in the food industry;

4. Food security and nutrition.

• Digestive system and digestive processes;

• Improving the quality of food products based on natural products;

• Indicators of quality and safety of food products;

• Food storage and processing;

• Prospects for the use of food additives in animal feeding;

• Strengthening the agricultural feed base;

5. Chemical research in food security

• Inorganic substances and materials for food safety

• Analytical methods for ensuring food security;

• Organic substances and materials to ensure food security;

• Advances in chemical technology in ensuring food security;

• Physical and chemical research in the food industry;

Working languages ​​of the conference: Uzbek, Russian and English

The text of the article is 3 full pages, electronic format (MS Word 97-2003, Times New Roman), paper size 210x297 mm (A4 format), size of the picture (diagrams, graphics) should be no more than 6x9 cm. Text fields: top and bottom – 2.0 cm, left – 3.0 cm, right – 1.5 cm. The text is typed in 14 pt font, spacing 1.5.

The title of the article is written in capital letters, after 1.5 intervals the initials of the name and patronymic are indicated, and the author's surname is written in full, after 1 interval the name of the organization (place of work or study) and country (city), e-mail of the first author. Next, after 1.5 intervals, text in 1.5 intervals; at the end of the text, a list of references compiled according to generally accepted rules is attached.

Materials in Uzbek (articles in Uzbek must be typed in the Latin alphabet), Russian and English must include a summary and keywords. The authors are responsible for the content and accuracy of the materials included in the collection.

Materials that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted and will not be returned to the authors. Articles will be peer-reviewed; articles that do not pass the review will not be included in the conference program and will not be returned to the authors.

The deadline for submission of materials is September 10, 2024 (no materials will be accepted after this date). The conference materials will be published in the form of a scientific collection.

Papers presented at the conference, selected as the most relevant, after passing the anti-plagiarism program and receiving a positive review, will be published in journals,  which are included in the Scopus database.

Participation in the scientific and practical conference is free.
